OVER FORTY YEARS OF HISTORY AND PASSION IN OUR WORK
STEFINSTAL - our history
SIRR IMPIANTI RICETRASMITTENTI RADIOTELEVISIVI was founded in 1982: the company designs and builds radio-TV bridges and transmitters for telecommunications; in 1986 it also began designing and building control rooms and entertainment venues, extending its specializations to audio/video systems and lighting effects.
In 1990, the company opened up to the private market, adding to its activities the design and building of radio-TV reception systems for private users (individual and condominium antenna systems), starting, at the same time, the first home creations for satellite receiving systems.
SGS - MACGEST 5.0In 1991, thanks to the experience gained in testing with the most prestigious brands, it began private installations of systems for satellite television reception.
In the same year, it began collaborating with the Russian MIDISTUDIO: new digital recording studios were designed and built in all MIDISTUDIO locations, as well as providing assistance and training for new specialized personnel.
In 1992, it began collaborating with the American DAGLAS for the design of electronic control panels for satellite uplinks. A collaboration that would gradually become increasingly important and strong over time.
In 1997, it acquired a large part of SGS GRAFICA, thus opening up its potential to digital graphics.
In 2001, thanks to the experience gained with its cousin companies, it created the new CS-STUDIOWEB brand for the creation of websites and web portals and all related services. In a few months, thanks to the extraordinary response of the market, the complete merger of the two brands (SIRR and CS-STUDIOWEB) was decided, thus giving birth to STEFINSTAL.
At the end of the year, the acquisition of SGS GRAFICA was also completed and, given the great and continuous collaboration with DAGLAS, the foundations were laid for a merger with the latter.
In 2003, DAGLAS acquired 100% of PERSONAL SOFTWARE, entrusting its technical management entirely to STEFINSTAL which, in turn, was able to strengthen its market with the SGS brand.
In 2006, DAGLAS obtained important contracts in the telecommunications field in Europe which were entirely entrusted to STEFINSTAL. In the same year, DAGLAS decides to open up to the consumer market and therefore the merger with STEFINSTAL becomes effective and strategic: the new STEFINSTAL COMMUNICATION brand is created, which has the task of completely managing all the technical and design part of the DAGLAS group in Europe, covering practically all the fields of telecommunications, design of recording studios and control rooms as well as audio-video and lighting systems (STEFINSTAL COMMUNICATION); digital graphics, audio and TV productions, websites and web portals and software (SGS GRAFICA).
DAGLAS - multimedia rearview mirror
In 2009, the DAGLAS group began to operate in Europe also in the field of alarm systems and video surveillance, always with the STEFINSTAL COMMUNICATION brand, and, always from the same year, STEFINSTAL COMMUNICATION offers its expertise also to consumer users on behalf of the DAGLAS group extending its field of action also to mobile installations (both receiving and transmitting); and, precisely in this field, the brand new modular audio-video-TV-telephone system for cars is designed, destined to become more and more (thanks also to the lowering of the cost of consumer electronics) a real best-seller for car hi-fi enthusiasts. Since 2011, in fact, the DAGLAS modular system has been installed on practically all types of cars and heavy vehicles.
In 2016, DAGLAS, within the Interplanetary Transport System, was acquired by Space-X for the design and construction of vector control panels, but the interest of the new parent company in all activities that are not directly related to aerospace is practically zero and therefore, rather than closing them, a sale of the business branches deemed not pertinent to the primary activity of the parent company (aerospace activities) is proposed. The technical managers of the various interested parties (with the exception of MIDISTUDIO which prefers to take the path of internal production within the Russian state independently) thus start a joint venture so as not to lose the technical heritage and fame built up over more than forty years. The new group maintains the name of the main European company (STEFINSTAL COMMUNICATION), but dedicates the various business sections to the original names of the individual corporate entities. Therefore, the graphics branch (graphic printing - printing on objects - company websites and portals, etc.) is under the name of SGS; the branch that deals with personal sites, chat sites and minor sites operates under the name of "CS-STUDIOWWB"; PERSONAL SOFTWARE operates in the branch of computer software, servers, web-apps and Android apps. The technical branch (slightly reduced) is managed by STEFINSTAL. The scope of work is also reduced in light of the smaller number of employees and fewer technological resources (most of the laboratories and employees remain at Daglas): a widespread service is guaranteed in Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany and Holland; for the rest of Europe, agreements are assessed and made as appropriate. The Consumer market is now active exclusively in Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland. The years that follow, obviously, are of growth; until 2020 when the global Covid pandemic gives a strong jolt to all activities except the web. At the same time, the regulations regarding radio and television broadcasting are changing a lot, especially in Italy where the regulations are updated at different times, creating many difficulties for companies in the sector and also for end users. In view of all these changes, the radio and television transceiver systems owned by STEFINSTAL COMMUNICATION are largely sold to national networks and to the emerging management groups of the transmitting stations. The activity of designing the towers is however maintained, but only on external commission. In recent years, given the expansion of the use of smartphones and laptops based on Android, greater development is given to the creation of apps for Android, or apps based on web servers (cloud) but always usable in the Android environment. Web apps allow the development of a whole series of management software for companies and for the consumer market.
In 2021 the ORGANIZER app was presented, in the same year BILDOM (home management app) and many others. In 2023 COMAX was presented, a revolutionary (customizable) software based on a series of sub-programs, dedicated to companies operating in the catering and/or hotel tourism sector: this software allows, for example, the management of booking, rooms, drinks warehouse, site or sites (for example, you can have two separate sites for the restaurant and the hotel), it manages electronic orders no longer via a computer and special terminals (with very high costs for companies) but directly with very simple low-end Android smartphones and Android tablets, without expensive systems based on large computers or servers. After a somewhat uncertain start due to the recovery of the sector after the pandemic, Comax achieved great success, so much so as to polarize Stefinstal's skills towards this software, continuing to update it and always adding new features. Today, just over 6,000 companies in the sector use Comax, and this has contributed to significantly lowering the costs of the software as well as equipping it with Artificial Intelligence to optimize response times.
